Ellen Powers, Stylist & Owner

Ellen has been a stylist for over ten years. She gained her experience and professional knowledge in Madison's higher end salons. She's always had the goal of eventually owning her own salon in order to create a work environment where the atmosphere was warm, friendly, eclectic, while still maintaining a high level of professionalism.

"Education will be an ongoing thing for me so that I am always current with the latest trends," says Ellen. Over the years, she has been to several hair trade shows here in Wisconsin, as well as classes in New York and California. "Trends aside though, I believe that your color and cut should look good on you. I will take the time to find what best suits you and make you look the best that you can!"

Nicole Cummings, Certified Massage Therapist

Nicole Cummings, CMT

Nicole graduated in July of 2005 from East-West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, WI. It was here that Nicole not only learned tradtional Swedish Massage, but also studied the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupressure, and Chinese Medical Massage (Tui Na). She is a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and practices her continuing education through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Nicole uses her knowledge of TCM along with her massage training and attention to detail to facilitate stress relief and encourage healing. By combining her unique Eastern and Western techniques, each massage is tailored to the individual needs of each client, providing a deeply relaxing, therapeutic massage. Nicole's massage also supports and enhances other health care treatments her clients may be receiving.

Since 2005 Nicole has grown her own on-site massage business, catering to the wellness of busy professionals. Her professional attitude and ethical standards, nuturing touch and use of humor, have provided her with a loyal clientle. She is very excited to bring her talents and energy to Powers Hair Studio!

Judy has been a stylist & manicurist for over 6 years. She gained her experience and professional knowledge in Madison's higher end salons. She strives to create an environment that is warm, friendly while maintaining a high level of professionalism. "I enjoy making people feel good about how they look. I also take great pride in listening to what the customer has to say and help guide them to find a style and color that looks best on them."
